Childhood Dreams: When I grow up I want to be…..

Starting from a chilly morning of -2, it was nice and warm in the Rakaia room.

Sergeant at Arms Roydon got us started with the matter of facts interspersed

with a bit of humour.

Toastmaster Kori welcomed us, along with new member Aaron and visitor

Julian, with the theme of “Childhood Dreams: When I grow up I want to be”.

He shared some of those dreams of people as he introduced them.

Grammarian Alannah did a rant about Joy of renting out before I realised the

word of the day was Rant.

After an introduction from Alana, Fraser gave us a speech about the ups and

downs and the lessons he learned from a first hike on the Abel Tasman.

Helen introduced Jacqui who informed us how to find and connect with your

target market when creating a media presence on Facebook.

Thomas introduced Louise who gave us an informative speech about how and

why to view Toastmasters as a competitive classification.

with Everyone’s a Winner Baby.

After a break Richard introduced Table Topics (and speakers)

Evaluations followed which included a very effective General Evaluation by

Stephen. One of the best I’ve heard.

Rounded off by the Timers Report, Boaters Bulletin and Toastie Award.

Until next week…
