A Regal Meeting

Toastmaster David Cooper led a celebration of the life of Queen Elizabeth II with video clips interspersed throughout the meeting.

The original films and BBC sound tracks added drama to the meeting.

Helen’s word of the day was “Nuclear” in recognition of the Russian threat to use Nuclear weapons in Ukraine. The pronunciation of Nuclear varies with NEW-clee-ar being the most popular and Nu-Kuh-Lar having been in use since World War II.

Dee Bigelow entertained us with “Winging It”.

Rachel Walton spoke of Conflict Resolution in her speech “Run Forest Run”.

Jai Bilbrough updated us on “Cryptocurrency”.

Following Jacqui Anderson’s bag of goodies for Tabletopics, and evaluations from Alannah Vickery, Fi Graham, Danniel Vann and Gerald Hartley, we heard from our Area Director/General Evaluator, Louise Landers. Louise made some discerning comments and recommendations and commented that Boaters was one of the most professional clubs in town.
